1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Torrington Design and Build website and the provision of our property maintenance, refurbishment and building services. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Torrington Design and Build operates across London and the South East, providing residential, commercial and landlord property services.

2. Services

We offer a range of property maintenance, refurbishment, installation and emergency repair services including, but not limited to:

• Gas emergency callout, boiler repair and Gas Safe certified works
• Electrical emergency callout, rewiring and NICEIC certified works
• Full property refurbishment and renovation
• Kitchen and bathroom design and installation
• Interior and exterior decoration
• Landlord safety certificates (gas, electrical, EPC, PAT)
• Office and commercial maintenance
• SmartHome and BMS system installation
• Planned and reactive maintenance contracts
• Property management support

All works are subject to a site assessment, written quotation and mutual agreement before commencement.

3. Quotations and Pricing

All quotations provided by Torrington Design and Build are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless specified. We reserve the right to adjust pricing where the scope of works changes following the initial quotation.

Any additional works requested during the course of a project will be quoted separately and require written approval before being carried out.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in the quotation or contract for each project. Unless otherwise agreed:

• A deposit may be required before works commence, as outlined in your quotation
• Progress payments may apply for larger projects, invoiced at agreed stages
• Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion of works
• Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date

We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking, please notify us as soon as possible by email at [email protected]. Cancellation charges may apply where materials have been ordered or works have already commenced.

For emergency callout services, cancellations made after an operative has been dispatched will be subject to a call-out charge.

6. Workmanship and Guarantees

All works carried out by Torrington Design and Build are completed to a high professional standard in accordance with relevant building regulations, British Standards and industry best practice.

• Gas works are performed by Gas Safe registered engineers
• Electrical works are carried out by NICEIC certified electricians
• Workmanship guarantees are provided as specified in your project documentation
• Manufacturer warranties on materials and products remain subject to the manufacturer's terms

7. Access and Site Conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property for the duration of works. It is your responsibility to ensure that:

• The work area is accessible and cleared of personal belongings where required
• Parking facilities or permits are available for our operatives where applicable
• Any relevant building permissions or consents have been obtained prior to works commencing

8. Liability

Torrington Design and Build maintains comprehensive public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the contracted works unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather, supply chain disruptions or access restrictions.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos and design elements, is the property of Torrington Design and Build and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without our prior written consent.

10. Website Use

This website is provided for informational purposes. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of information presented, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current or error-free. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw website content at any time without notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the provision of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
